tonight i was struck by the compulsion to get the junk out of our back room.
when we moved in to our house (almost two years ago) we stripped this room bare. this is the room that the previous owners sat in and smoked while they watched CMT. so we ripped out every piece of wallpaper and carpet. currently it is plain plaster and cement, so we have felt free to store junk, trash, empty paint cans, tools, other people's stuff, a life-size cardboard cutout of michael jordan, paper towels, 2 coolers, old furniture, closet doors, a case of barbecue sauce...among other things.
so anyway i started cleaning up, clearing out and packing up all this crap. i was lucky to find this gem in all that junk....

Stop the presses. Are you calling a case of BBQ sauce "junk?" Them's fighting words!!!
never would i say such a thing about BBQ sauce. you will notice that is one of the items that remained there and is not in the huge pile marked for "the dump".
but i will contend that bbq sauce like items should eventualy be stored in my dream pantry which will be located in the basement.
one day at a time though.....
